Don't forget to drop Jill a note (via the Google Group) about how Bishop Morlino or one of the faithful priests of the diocese has blessed you.

I credit the fine John Paul II priests of our diocese who brought to so many of us, for the first time, the reality of objective Truth. Through them we encountered the beauty of our Faith whose foundations rest upon humility and obedience. Thank you Bishop Morlino for encouraging holiness in your priests and challenging the faithful be a light in this world.

There are so many good priests; I have been privileged to become acquainted with a few extraordinary ones, as well. (Fr. Eric Sternberg, Fr. Rick Heilman, Fr. Eric Nielsen, Fr. Bill Vernon, Fr. Tait Schroeder come to mind) These extraordinary priests have an obvious love from the heart for all that our Lord has blessed us with in the Catholic faith, and I would suspect that this comes from the grace received from trying to love our Lord with all of their HEART, MIND, AND SOUL. I have been praying for a genuinely orthodox Bishop since 1990, when I "reverted" back to my childhood faith...Thanks be to God for Bishop Morlino! Sancta Maria Refugium Nostrum Et Virtus."

We all can talk about how bishops and priests are supposed to "tend their flock." This is what Christ called them to do. But to be a seminarian under one of these bishops, and to truly experience their fatherly care is quite extraordinary. The bishop has shown me and the other seminarians such love and support as we discern under his guidance. This has been a wonderful experience for us all.

Bishop Morlino was serving the Western diocese of Montana when I was a college student at Montana State University. If he had not brought the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) to our University, I am not sure that I would have come back to the Catholic faith. His concern for college students has effected my life, the life of many of my friends, and my family as well.

Just a quick note to express my gratitude to the priests that have touched my life.

Monsignor Kevin Holmes married my husband and me and provided valuable pre-marital counseling. My faith began to deepen greatly in the early-mid 90's which I attribute significantly to the teaching homilies of Monsignor Holmes. We have remained in contact with him throughout the years. We always enjoy having him over for dinner for wonderful conversation. He has generously been available to us for spiritual direction. My husband is a strong Christian man who is Lutheran and Monsignor Holmes has been helpful to us with dealing with a mixed faith marriage. He respects Monsignor Holmes very much and they share a good friendship.

Monsignor Holmes visited us in the hospital for the birth of our children and baptized all of them. It has been a beautiful experience for me to see our children develop a relationship with a good and holy priest and have wonderful example to follow.

Monsignor Daniel Ganshert was our priest at St. Michael's in Dane for about 3 years. My daughter is so comfortable with him and grateful to him for helping with her First Reconciliation and First Communion last year. She only wants to go to confession with him. She has frequently commented on how Father Ganshert always seems happy and full of joy! He has such a warm heart and his joy for Our Lord shines right through.

I am so very grateful for our good and holy priests for all they do and are to us.

Bishop Morlino has been a tremendous help to us on our faith journey. In some ways, as his courage rises, so does ours. His example has truly had a positive ripple down effect for us. When we see him standing strong for life and for other Church teachings, we feel ever more emboldened to do the same. We feel the same way about all those priests out there who risk rejection and ridicule to clearly state Church teaching for the sake of saving souls. None of us is perfect in every way, but we see Bishop Morlino as a holy man trying to do what is right and for that, we are very grateful.
